How can I subscribe?
Please use the “updates” subscribe form at left. A few minutes after you click Subscribe, our list host (Yahoo!) will e-mail you a confirmation message. You must reply to this message, or your subscription request will be ignored.
How can I UN-subscribe?
You can unsubscribe at any time, simply by e-mailing a blank message to greenottawa-unsubscribe (at) yahoogroups.com. Then reply to the confirmation message that Yahoo will send you. If for any reason you have difficulties, contact us and we will unsubscribe you.
Will I receive junk mail or spam?
No. Subscribers’ e-mail addresses are kept private, and are not visible to other subscribers. Each message to the list is carefully moderated by our staff to ensure that unwanted messages rarely if ever get through. Also, to further improve security and accessibility, attachments are stripped from all messages before they are sent to the list.
Will you give my e-mail address to others?
No. We will not share your e-mail address with anyone. Currently, we are using Yahoo! Groups as list host. You do not need a Yahoo! account. You do not need to provide any information other than your e-mail address. (Details of Yahoo!’s privacy policy).
What will you do with my personal information?
We don’t ask for any personal information, other than your e-mail address – which we won’t share with anyone (see above). We will not share personally identifiable information with anyone. (Privacy Policy)
Can I get viruses from your mailings?
No. All our messages are text – we never send attachments. If you ever do receive a message that seems to be from our address, but it has an attachment or suspicious subject line, don’t open it.
